“Image progression” by Dave Seeley
So…back to the digital drawing board.
I was informed that there were only two scenes in the novel that had action appropriate for the jacket illustration. I worked up sketches for both, but I only include the progression for the one chosen by Lucasfilm for the final image. This scene was set in a swampy field which was planted with the native narcotic prized by both sides of the conflict. Barriss was there with the male lead, when a damaged battle droid stumbles upon them.
