“Image progression” by Dave Seeley
Yellow skin tones were added with a color balance edit, and facial tattoos and fingernails by painting on a layer in multiply mode.
Then I took a Lucasfilm archive photo of the character where is is standing, and cut it up a bit to begin dressing her. You can see that there is some gymnastics going on here with her legs and drape of her skirt. I also widened her jaw for a better likeness to the actress.
