In this tutorial I will explain the way I made the dirty water effect in my artwork named "Jonathan Shroud"
Mum, give me a palette!
To get the palette for my water, I made a simple Google search looking for "dirty water". I chose the image with the colors I needed.
and used the website "http://www.degraeve.com/color-palette/" pasting the link of the image to get and instant palette.
Another way to get a palette is downloading your image,open it in Photoshop and push the saturation up
(Image/Ajustments/Hue-Saturation),
than just a simple filter (Filter/Texture/Stained glass),
and voilà
