“Clothes tutorial” by Aziz Khan
Hello every buddy!!
and welcome to Maya cloth tutorial in this tutorial I will show you how to cloth up your characters in Maya using powerful built-in plug-in CpCloth, by doing this tutorial you will be able to understand fundamentals of Maya`s cloth system.
before going to start this tutorial make sure you have your character ready to use, you can use any character regardless, and if you are modeler and you are looking for some kind of great reference images to model your own character then I strongly recommend you www.3d.sk I bet you will be amazed by the collection of their reference images,  so allot to do lets get started the tutorial,
1-I will use this lady character to cloth her up.

2-ok now go to your front view port focus some where on your character and then activate (Snap To Grid) like the image illustrating below.

3-go to create pull down menu choose (EP Curve Tool) like below,

4-and now start creating curves on the front view while creating the curves make sure you have activated (Snap To Grid), once you select the EP Curve click on the middle of character and then click some where above her shoulder, once your curves created hit enter to make the created curve independent, now yours should look something like mine below,

5-now keep creating the curves like mine below, while creating the curves make sure that the Snap To Grid is active otherwise you wont make cloth if the curve points are not attached with each other.

6-do the rest and create the curves like mine below,

7-create one more curve where in the image indicating below.
