“Female face ” by Dan LuVisi
Step 5, Refining and touching up:
Now I know you’re all thinking, ‘whoa looks like a lot has been done’, but not much as been done. The main differences would be the eyes. Here ive totally refined them, opened them up a bit more, put some detail in the eyelashes as well. I’ve gone and smoothed a lot more of the colors. I’ve also worked her chin a little bit, curved it. As for her ear, I began late on it and added some basic tones to it and built up so it’s just not one solid color of purple.
Step 6, Quick hair and fleshing out her cheek:

For this step, I used a soft brush on both parts of this. For her cheek, I turned down the opacity of the color to a mere 20% and started to flesh it out a bit. While I do this, it curves the lighting on her face to a more soft shape, rather than a hard shadow. So just block in the soft colors around the areas that look a little hard, by turning the opacity down, the colors will blend more seamlessly. As for the back of her hair which is starting to take place, use the soft brush again to just make some curls and light strands.
Step 7, Cigarette gone and refining:

As said in the title, I’ve taken out the cigarette and started to refine some of the soft spots on her face. First off, was where the shadow of the cigarette was on her cheek, I have now over-painted the cheek with a soft pink/pearl color, starting to overall blend all the additional colors together. Once I have somewhat of an ongoing color scheme to the side of her face, I then blur it in with the Blur tool, not too rough, but just soft enough to get a smooth touch to it.
