The whole tutorial is divided into 3 parts.The first part is preparement and about how to creat all the things and the environment by modeling.The second part shows about how to creat the surface and how to form the whole atmosphere.The third part is about how to compose everything together and refine them,also including the techniques of how to make your pic more beautiful.

7. Materials and Skin Shade
There are different kinds of materials about my works,including wood,metal,glass,plants and skin etc.What I need to do is that I should keep them look different. Fortunately,maya is a great software, maya contains many different kinds of shaders.I generally used blind to do wood and rough metal,and phong for glass,water surface,lambert for dry grass and cloth.This is the hypergragh of my scene


Below are about how to make skin shade.Someone asked me how to connect Mental Ray FAST SKIN shade.Everyone has his own way.As a whole,in my opinion,I think it’s best for controlling every parameter as possible as I could.Therefore,I used about 8 maps to control the more important parameters(such as Diffuse Color,Epidermal Scatter Color,Subdermal Scatter Color,Primary Weight,Secondary Weight and so on)My own experience is that we can connect color map to overrall color or diffuse color,but their effects has great differences.If there is some pure black in your color map,you’d better not connect it to overall color.Because if you do so,your final render image will get some pure black.In addition,the sss effect of some places like ears cannot be too high,that is,not being too redish,because the real man couldn’t be like that.We need the feeling of the skin between plastic and wax..Here is my network and parameters
