Dagger texturing

“Dagger texturing ” by Gavin Watson
Hi every one
Open the same uv template in photoshop that you applied to your mesh in max At this point you can increase the size of the template and re apply it to your mesh to max as I have.

3Dtutorials.sk recommendation:

To maximise the realism of your 3D rendering and lightning we recommend using high quality textures from the #1 texture website www.environment-textures.com
To do this, go to image and scroll down to image size (alt + cntrl+ I) and increase To bigger the texture size the more detail, on the down side it uses more resources, and takes longer to render. Ok now open the reference picture in photoshop as well and make a duplicate layer.

use the lasso tool(L) too cut your selected piece and then drag it on to your uv template using the move tool(V) .

Now select the freeform tool (cntrl+t), you will notice a square appear over the piece That you cut out, if you right click over this free form tool, you will see a number options to manipulate the cutout. Place these cut outs according to your template

Save your template and it will update in max, allowing you check as you go along
Continue all the way through, saving and checking.
