6.Texturing
My artworks are all real-style,so there is much work on textures.For this pic,almost all the textures of this character are 3072*3072.Because there are so many things in the environment,I decided to use small-size textures for the far away things.For some unimportant things,I only use color map,no bump map.
First of all,I did the color map by hand painting and some photos in Photoshop,we muct take more care of the color map.There are so many pores ,patches on the skin,veins,muscles and bones below skin,so the skin color has many changes.When I finished the color map,I desaturated color and made the bump map and specular map,After that,I changed the tone and details of the color map as the Epidermal Scatter Color,Subdermal Scatter Color,then changed the specular map as the reflection map.I overlayed a noise map on the reflection map so that the reflaction map looks more random.I got a very detail normal map in mudbox by a high-rez model. I used body paint to remove texture seams.I made the other textures by the same way.Here are the main textures
