3.Modeling,Pose,Layout
Now,It’s the low-res modeling process.The character was modeled in maya.First I modeled a standard human body and spent much time on his topology structure.In this stage,i didn’t use any reference pictures,just letting her look like a normal person,then teeth,eyes and hair.The eyes are the two-layer models,one layer was used to catch the specular high light and reflectivity,the other one was used to place the color textures.At the beginning i used NUBRS patches to make the hair’s initial style.After all the elements were finished,i started to adjust her face characteristics,at this time,i made use of some reference pics,of course includes the original oil painting.I didn’t want my role looking too much desperate and painful.These are the wireframes of the character’s head,you especially need to care of the places which were marked red threads
