Making of Chess set

“Making of Chess set ” by Joshua Murphy
Do this by selecting your piece, then go to the Modifer stack and at the bottom select, UVW map.
Play with the setting until you achieve an outcome that you like.

Repeat the UVW map to all of your pieces.
Next to apply the lighting. Lighting is very tricky and it will take several times of tweaking the settings to receive an outcome that you are satisfied with.
Here is how I have my lighting setup.

I am using V-ray lighting. I myself, am just starting to get the hang of V-ray. Much like modeling, lighting is just trial and error. Play with the settings until you receive a favorable outcome. Once you have one that you are happy with, you are done. :-)

I hope this tutorial was helpful and if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to e-mail me.
