Dinosaur

“Dinosaur” by Alejandro Bongelli
It is a process of how I made this dinosaur. A very simple specimen, easy of shaping that can be used of several ways. For the scanty quantity of polygons it can be accepted by any engine of game, or can pass for the Zbrush tools and receive more realism.
Generally, it is begun by the body, but in this case it was easier to begin for the legs for me. So, I believe that the legs are more complex than the body.
I wish to be of your interest and contribution for the one who sees it.
Some aspects to bear in mind
Notice that the used photos do not correspond to the same specimen. During a time I had to look for material on dinosaurs to shape certain specimens in concretly.I would never find ideal information(picture references). We will not find blueprints of dinosaurs, as with the cars, unless some draftsman puts in it.
In Internet suitable material does not exist, but we will find on the other hand books like that I used in this case.I don’t remember your name, but I will never forget the illustrations realized by Raúl Martin.

Therefore the images that appear in my process are of this illustrator. The truth is that once to have acquired the concept of which it is the body of dinosaurio, only to use any image like reference to model it, unless it is wanted to model one in particular. In my case, this dinosaurio has a size similar to the Trex . The illustration is of a native Carcharodontosaurus from Spain/Kingdom of Aragon/Province of Teruel/Galve.
Ok, let’s begin.
We created a cylinder of 10 sides and five partitions +/-. We put it like in the image.

We turned the cylinder to “Editable Poly”, we cleared the covers to him and we molded it following the model.

With the “cover” tool + shift, we are creating new polygons and molding the leg upwards
