Making of Qiane

“Making of Qiane ” by Shreya Shetty
Once you have the brush defined, go to the brushes tab (Window-.psd>Brushes) E xperiment with hardness, spacing, shape dynamics, scatter, texture, dual brush, colour+opacity dynamics etc.

Here are some of the settings for the image:
1) The brush we just created without any settings
2) Shape Dynamics on and an Angle Jitter of 75%, control set to pen pressure
3) Shape Dynanics and Scattering on, Scatter 156% and Count 5, control set to pen pressure
4) All the above + added Texture, Mode set to Multiply
5)Scatter off, just Shape Dynamics and Texture
6) Spacing set to 1
7)Dual brush on
8)Other Dynamic on, Opacity and Flow set to pressure and 0% jitter
9)Colour Dynamics on, Foreground/Background set to pen pressure and a slight Hue Jitter of 6%
The best way to learn the controls is to experiment. The brushes you make can be also be used for more than just paint. Brushes with scatter enabled (and at a low opacity) make excellent blenders when used as a smudge brush. You can also use you painting brushes to blur, sharpen etc.
